I know of no such Apple function but I will shamefully plug my own flavor of
same. Included in the latest version of Black & Bleu (see www.bleureose.com
), I've included an error code library (code resource) that can be called to
return error codes and their text equivalents. Black & Bleu costs $$ but the
code resource is free. I'm not sure how to call it from a script, however.
