help ASAP

I'm absolutely new to Applescript.
I need Applescript to do the following:

At a specified time to open and run "SoundJam" and to select
a Menu command in order to record a sound source from sound
input. Part of this Record command requires input of a
file/document name, and after that to select the button
"Start Recording" before it actually record. And then to stop
recording at a particular time by selecting the button
"Done Recording." I need to set different times for this
purpose.

Basically, it's like a video time programming for recording
one/more tv-shows at different times.

Can Applescript do this for me ??
If not, do you know of any application that can do something
similar ??

thanks very much,
kee
