Mohammed,
I can only suspect that Cal's Photoscripter from Mainevent.com would do
what we need it to do. However, even being a big organization like we are,
I have not been able to justify the cost required to meet Mainevent's
licensing costs within our department (I think it prices out for us
somewhere near $2 500 US). I would really like to use his software, and,
moreover, be trained in it here (Toronto). But....
But PhotoMechanic, as mentioned earlier, is able to batch-caption images
using the IPTC standard. You fill in the necessary fields and then point it
at a folder of images and let 'er rip. This is obviously just for generic
application of captioning. One needs to go in and add extra data for
individual images as required.
To respond to Richard23: I don't have access to a PC with PhotoShop (we
are a complete Mac setup here) so I cannot attest to the cross-platformness
of IPTC through any of: PhotoShop, GraphicConverter or Photo Mechanic.
