Hello,
I teach a class on AppleWorks and my students have assignments from a book
to which I have "answers" in the form of actual computer files.
What I would LOVE to do is have the students submit their completed work
via email, with a particular file naming scheme, and then have a folder
script which compares the students' file against the master and then emails
the student back with a list of "These things are wrong" and "These things
are things to look for." The file would then be moved to an archive
location so I could track how many times they worked on a particular
assignment.
One possible caveat: the school only has copies of AW5, the master files
were done in CW4 and the system that I would be doing the corrections on is
AW6.
For email, I'm using Eudora Pro 3.0.
Is this possible? I think so, but I'm still learning just what AppleScript
is capable of.

"We are not our feelings. We are not our moods. We are not even our
thoughts. The very fact that we can think about these things separates us
from them and from the animal world. Self-awareness enables us to stand
apart and examine even the way we "see" ourselves -- our self-paradigm, the
most fundamental paradigm of effectiveness. It affects not only our
attitudes and behaviors, but also how we see other people. It becomes our
map of the basic nature of mankind." -- Seven Habits of Highly Effective
