This is presented in Smile's help (search for "portability").

I am still "digesting" all of the above, and now I just would like to express my thanks to those responding to this issue!! It's really nice with helpful fellows on complicated issues like this.
Obviously, I brought up an issue that has been a hot topic earlier (perhaps even controversial). Up until now, I never bothered to install Smile, but this has been a good opportunity/excuse for "upgrading" to something more user friendly than Script Editor with its lack of drag&drop, no search, etc.
THANKS!
(I'll continue "raw" smiley main course digestion later... since I've already had a really heavy raw starter meal at JD's...)

* Oh yes.....
* I have one other question, although not an AppleScript question:
*
* Is there any way of increasing the font size of those standard Help files?
* I am running 1600x1200 on my 22" screen, which is just fine for most things,
* except those mac format Help files which are really tiny tiny... bascially
* requiring me to change resolution of the monitor...
