I had seen the problem stated more specifically: remove the Dialects
folder from Scripting Additions. [The folder isn't even present if one
does a fresh install of Mac OS 9.1, and is no longer used.]
If it turns out to be "folders" rather than Dialects folder, that's OK with me.
If it's everything, I look forward to a *quick* update to AppleScript. But
I don't think so: people have reported solving the problem by removing the
Dialects folder (without saying whether it was the only folder).
Chris (seeing this via BCC: so the doesn't start getting double copies of
later replies), please vet the TIL nd106302 article if you haven't had the
