No, Serge, you're not. It's a bit of a nuisance. My workaround is to store
the name of the app that is frontmost when the script starts to run in a
variable or on the clipboard. Then, when the Finder has finished
interrupting, the original app can easily be brought back to the front.

I'd be delighted to know if there's a way to force the Finder to stay in the
background when, for instance, a folder action is moving newly exported
images around.
