I'm also interested in this. Although every job I work ends up with at
least a partially scripted workflow, I haven't found a way to get jobs
based on my scripting. It's also been hard to get companies to allow me
the "non-prodcutive" time on their job to script - I've always had to put
in my own time to get it started, and then evolve it incrementally bit by
bit.

Is there a separate list devoted to "professional scripters" that deal
with these more meta issues - the as lists I'm aware of are all tech and
no biz.
