Thanks, Bill. That is very useful to know. In this particular case, I lost
the script when I clean-re-installed 10.1 (I forgot to make a coy of my
~/Library/Scripts/ folder to another partition before wiping the old one),
but there were only two scripts in it anyway. I have rewritten them (this
one is just a one-liner - not too difficult).

So this is a brand new script, just made in Script Editor, and saved to my
Scripts folder. I have tried again with a new Script menu and another new
version of the script. It's again invisible to Script Menu - it's not in the
menu or Script Runner, even though it is in the Scripts folder (made by the
menu) and does have the ".scpt" extension.
