We worked out all kinds of hacks while creating AppleScript, but we made sure that they were all dependant on having program linking on. The key is to turn guest access off, and we created some tools to do that by cruising the net for machines with program linking and guest access on and we'd make them display a dialog to that effect ("You have guest access to program linking turned on. This is a bad idea." with default button "Erase disk").

Scripting additions are another way of hacking in, but you've got to get the scripting addition onto the machine in the first place, so it's pretty tough.

All in all, I've never heard of anyone hacking program linking.
