Your symptom suggests that what I'm going to say is not the problem, but
don't upgrade 9.1's Applescript 1.5.5 to AS 1.6. There is a known bug which
causes Applescript CGIs which are not already running to ignore the handle
CGI Request event. This should be fixed next week when OSX 10.1 ships (the
updated AS for classic, Classic, and OSX should ship concurrently).
