Your messages appeared on the list but you, as sender, are getting the
notification of failure to deliver to a particular list member, just as you
would (and probably would want) if you had sent him a private email message.
I get loads of these, and - I suppose - will get one as punishment for
sending in this message too. It's one of those things that just doesn't work
right with some mailing lists, particularly this one. I'm sure there's
supposed to be some header sending such bounce-back replies to an admin
address but, if so, it's not working. I suppose it's better than than when
the bounce-back messages get delivered to the list itself for every single
post sent by anyone, although not so if the list admin never knows about
them. This last is probably related to this particular list's penchant for
having all replies go by default to the sender.
