JD,

you bought your first Mac in 1984, so you will soon be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of pure agony of Mac computing ;-) Or is there a masochistic tendency here and you actually enjoy all the nonsense you have to put up with? ;->

-Reinhold

P.S.: I actually have an NT comp sitting here that I would love to sell :-)

I gave up on all these fancy nonsenses a few years ago and decided to keep all my contacts in Eudora. I've never looked back and have no intention of ever using either Mail.app or Address Book, come Jaguar, come Cheetah, come Kingdom.

And what about Unicode? At least in TextEdit and Mail it is possible to type Unicode (slightly less fast than in Windows 3.1) but Script Editor et al. can't deal with Unicode or display actual unicode glyphs. And it's not only Apple. There is not a single usable text editor apart from Apple's miserable TextEdit that can handle Unicode properly, and sadly that includes Style and TE+. I do hope one day we'll get to the point WinNT reached about 12 years ago!
