Why do people reply off list?

Ok, ok...

Tx to all who replied!! (Paul and Deivy & Laine off-list)

I replied on-list ( julifos perhaps omitted a comma after my name). I have
an email client (Entourage) that can automatically reply to the list when I
click Reply. Most other email clients cannot be set up that way. When you
click Reply, the reply goes to the sender - on Apple mailing lists. Even
when people know that, it's very easy to forget and just click Reply instead
of messing about with recipients, or even clicking Reply All. It's possible
that some of the people who replied "off-list" actually replied to all but
the list copy hasn't yet got to julifos. That's why I don't care for "reply
to all": I get a private reply, I respond in kind, then the list message
turns up some hours later and needs a public response too.

But we're not supposed to discuss this. And it makes no difference if we do.
They're not going to change the list behavior.

Oh right. I forgot about that feature.
