OSAStore puts the script ID back into the file format. Write that to a file.

This sample code shows how to read and write script objects, including saving their properties and telling whether you need to save their properties.

Thanks! I've forwarded the info to the developer. He's already advised me that he plans to fix the app so that scripts can store properties, so I'm sure this will be helpful. And now the plug...

FYI, the app in question is NetNewsWire Pro, by Brent Simmons, and it just went into public beta last night. It's a great way to gather and read RSS news feeds (there are thousands of 'em).
