Open for access (OS X newbie)

  • Subject: Open for access (OS X newbie)

I've just started to use OS X and is now moving my scripts from OS 9 to OS X.
In one of them I get an error message: Duplicate file name
in the following line

set template to open for access alias y without write permission

The problem is that I can't figure out what is wrong with this line (the path
seems to be OK).

Does anyone have an idea what be wrong? (I've tried with 'file' instead of
'alias', and without 'without write permission')
