You're trying to use the wrong ScriptingAdditions folder.
Let Apple use /System/Library/ScriptingAdditions for their additions, as
intended.
You should use
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/ for those you add if you want everyone to be
able to use them, and
/Users/you/Library/ScriptingAdditions for those you want to use without
inflicting on others.
They'll be looked at from the bottom up as given in this message, so you
can try out a new version in your own folder while other users of the
machine continue to use a tried-and-true one.
Oh...just one more thing: you'll have to create one or both of the two
ScriptingAdditions folders you should be using. I think it's both. Unless
an installer does it for you.
