"Translate Into Raw Code" is a recent feature of Smile: you may need to

Emmanuel,
You're right - I haven't looked at that feature yet. But I can't get to any
iDisk page at the moment, not even my own. I'll keep trying to download the
latest versions as soon as I can get to the Smile download page.
The ability to look at the dictionary of the applescript extension (and now
"component" in OSX) has always been a singular advantage of Smile. If you
can now do it in raw codes too - even better!
My original question here concerned being able to find one of those raw
codes that _doesn't_ have an English-type equivalent (like <<class ktxt>>).
In this particular case (a way to get the source text of a compiled script
in OS X with no access to the Jon's coercion) there doesn't seem to be one.
It would be great to be able to browse in "raw-code-space" of Apple events
to look around, but I guess such a place doesn't exist either.
I was wondering whether there was any way to do this (get the source text of
a compiled script) with the Satimage osax's resource commands? The simple
way, as someone has already mentioned, with a complete script file is just
to open it and get the contents of document 1". But what about <<script
foo>> within it, or <<handler bar>> within it?
