Retrospect, Disk Copy, even Dropstuff will save across disks. The
problem is that it will save one file on each disk that is useless until
you use that program to re-merge it or extract the information from it.
This is not what I need. I have gigabytes worth of video that needs to
be archived to CD, and viewable and usable once it gets there. I do not
want to have to go to the trouble of breaking up these huge folders (and
subfolders, of course) into smaller 650 MB folders myself; I want the
computer to do it for me. This doesn't seem too difficult to me, and in
fact, as I said, DOS could do something similar to this with the Move
command. This seems like a problem that lends itself quite well to
AppleScript, but apparently no one has ever solved this problem on the
Mac by any means. Am I the only one who has ever wanted to do this?
