Kirill,

There is good news and bad news... The good news is that
you can easily downgrade back to AS 1.6 simply by removing
1.8.3 and reinstalling 1.6 from the installer. Since you
don't mention which scripting additions (called OSAXEN, or
third-party AppleScript additions), no one can tell you
specifically what to do, but I would suggest updating
whatever third party additions you use to the newest
versions for OS 9.x before bothering to downgrade
AppleScript. The bad news is that there may not be upgrades
available, depending on which third party additions you are
using.
