Yeah, but most preferences are XML based and thus scriptable. I can make all
sorts of changes to those text file and thing become sort of scriptable. For
example, I can easily make changes to the screen saver by changing
com.apple.screensaver.<unique number>.plist Never found the files to change
the default browser though.
