I'm a VMS snob (excellent help facility for its day) and always thought the Unix world with only "man" was deficient. Of course 20 some years of people working in an OS is probably enough to get decent documentation near at hand ;-)
I always claimed VMS was the Macintosh of command line systems. They were consistent, with lengthy obvious names, and an excellent help system that you could easily integrate your applications into.
Of course, using unix is like putting together a puzzle of a mirror.
