Is there anything relating to file type or creator type? Does it even have a
file type as an application? (We know it doesn't as a compiled script in
1.9.) Perhaps as compiled script and text file it has no resource fork but
saved as an application it does? That might confuse things when you later
try to save as script or text. (Whereas in SD can you re-save one of these
applications as "Compiled Script (Data Fork)" type?) Or maybe as an
application it has the '.app' extension and can't get rid of it? Of course
it may well be an internal issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if resources
are involved somewhere.
