Well, that's what he wants to do. And saving mails as individual
text files was good enough for BeOS.

A little touchy today, aren't we? I never used the word "stupid", nor
did I mean to imply it. I often have people ask how to do things when
the things they want to do are either counterproductive or don't make
good sense - they just haven't thought through the situation, or they
have some misinformed notion about what they are doing. Happens
often. Why pursue a solution to a non-problem? In those cases I try
to point out that it's worth questioning the motivation for the
project. In this case, my own long experience with Eudora tells me
that this is precisely one of those times. If the individual doesn't
like the advice, then that's fine.
