How about PStill from Stone Design? You can try the free demo, I've had
good luck with it.

Hello Nino,
The latest version of GhostScript did not solve the problem.
I can send you 2 small pdf files showing exactly what's the matter (1
generated with GhostScript, the other with OS X).
For Distiller, I do not want to use it until Adobe release a native OS X
version.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric,
sorry for coming late, but I'm reading this list in digest mode and
I've
been out for a few days.
Probably you have already installed the latest version of Ghostscript
as
suggested from this list and I'm curious to know if this solves the
problem
of accented characters. My opinion, after a few checks, is that the
problem
is related to Fonts usage and how Ghostscript finds them. I know it is
possible to change this, kind of definition of where to find fonts,
but need
to do some tests to find out how to do it.
The other thing that I wanted to say is about Distiller. You can use
Distiller under classic and its "watch folder" feature if you want to
do so
just using my PS Writer virtual printer and directing ps files to the
"In"
folder of the watched folder. Of course you shall have used fonts
accessible
to Distiller.
