On a related note, my System Events 1.1.2 can't find its dictionary, was it not yet endowed with one? So as a result, I can't run GUI but I could in SysEvents beta.

(Mach-O 10.2.4)

Works fine:

set x to ":System:Library:CoreServices:System Events.app:"
tell me to open x as alias
--> open "System Events.asdictionary" in Apple's SE
-- (you'll find it in the tmp folder of your HD)

tell application "Finder" to open x using application file id "VIZF"
--> open System Events dico in Smile
