Mail is not recordable. There are some example scripts located on your
hard drive:
file://localhost/Library/Scripts/Mail /Scripts/
Click that link and it should open the folder in the Finder. If you go
to www.apple.com/applescript, there are lots of resources there for
learning Applescript, and links to some good third party resources as
well.
This is a good place to ask questions if you can put up with the
pathological hatred of Mail that some people have on this list.
