do shell script

Does anyone have an idea of why this command sometimes fails?

do shell script ("/usr/sbin/diskutil repairDisk " & destinationPath) password AdminPassword with administrator privileges

where destinationPath would look like '/Volumes/Macintosh Drive' and AdminPassword is the correct password.

Every now and then it ends up with this error...
Timed out waiting for arbitration
Unmount sync timed out, the unmount still might of happend!
Could not unmount disk for verification

We are always booting from a separate drive. There should never be something running from that drive. No file sharing or anything like that. It will never even be named the same thing as the drive we are booting from. Any thoughts? This is on 10.2.8 if it matters.

Thanks,
Rob Morton
