Bravo, John.

I'm primarily a lurker on this list but you have eloquently summed up my frustration with AppleScript and my exasperation with the attitude of a certain Apple employee who won't post under his or her real name.

C'mon guys, this is not fair. Cricket has always been very helpful on this list. He's been great at answering questions about scripting Mail. These attacks, which he has not started, are counterproductive. Cricket has no obligation to read or post to this list. The fact that he does is certainly appreciated by me and I'm sure many others on this list. Why don't you guys try a little politeness. Why not post constructive criticism, make feature requests, ask for clarifications in a more moderate tone?
