You're the second person to misconstrue that comment - Shane beat you to it
- so I guess I wasn't clear. I'll spell it out


You don't mention the new GUI scripting - presently a beta in Developer
Tools Dec 2002, but soon to be included in an OS update - which will be the
biggest thing ever in UI scripting.

And it will - since it will be built in. I agree with all of you that real
scriptability is far superior to GUI scripting. But Charles was asking about
GUI scripting, if you'll recall. I'm not sure he was interested in being
told about non-GI scripting. It just seemed odd to me that no one had yet
mentioned the new beta when someone had said they were writing a book about
GUI scripting .
