Very few non spam message *I* get have x-html in the body of the message and so I just filter on "x-html"

Well _every_ html message received in Eudora will begin

<x-html><!x-stuff-for-pete base.....

so you are treating every html message as spam!

Well, sort of...

Although not all spam messages have x-html, virtually all the x-html messages are spam.

Several lists that I am on have x-html too but they get filtered into the proper mailboxes before it hits the spam filter.

Essentially the only x-html posts that reach the filters are ones that I am not expecting and of those only infrequently do I find a non-spam message in the spam box.

I get about one a day that my filtering system misses and only a false positive once every other day. Not bad, considering that I get about 300 a day, if I do say so myself. :)
