Finder clipping

  • Subject: Finder clipping
  • From: Michael Grant <email@hidden>

The Finder dictionary includes the clipping class as a subset of file, but I
can't find any way to create a clipping and specify its content. This line:

tell application "Finder" to make new clipping to "Hello World!" at desktop

creates a clipping file called "Hello World! clipping.textClipping" on the
desktop, but the clipping is empty. (How) can I create a new clipping and
specify its content?

Thanks,
Michael
