My boy wants to "learn how to program" :-) I learned by keying
hexadecimal microinstruction op codes into a Packard Bell 440. I don't
think that's what he has in mind :-)
I figure AppleScript is as good as anything for learning the general
concepts such as variable types, looping, conditionals, subroutines,
input, and output... and I don't have to buy anything else.
I would be interested in any appropriate resources (for an 11 yr old) or
any suggestions for beginner level projects that I could give him to do.
Using display dialog to respond "Hello" gets old pretty quick, especially
when he has visions of developing the next "Star Wars, Galactic
Battleground".
Thanks for any suggestions.
Steve
