Music and mathematical skills are closely related and often reside in a single caranium. There are many great scientists who were superb musicians. Norbert Weiner, the great american mathematician of MIT fame, was a child prodigy on the violin, in addition to speaking half a dozen languages fluently.

Perhaps most folks on the list don't know it, but our own resident "ticks extractor" Nigel Garvey is a professional musician. Then there's Sal, who is a musician as well. It makes sense that people with musical aptitude are attracted to coding.
