Well, Fink had their directory structure first, so I would say it is
Virex
that is stepping all over it. Not to mention that Virex isn't a useful
program to begin with (and not because Viruses don't affect the Mac,
I am
not that foolish yet).
My point was that regardless of which was first or why it was
happening, if you install both of these programs the last one installed
is going to step on the other one. I found out the hard way. Since I'm
required to virus check on a routine basis I had no choice. Personally
I would prefer to have Fink operational but that's another story.
