Is there an easy way for an script if it is running under true OS 9 or in Classic mode?

The official answer is to use 'system attribute "mach"', which is the "machine type" selector. If it returns 1206, you're running in Classic.

Empty string. Not 1206.

Running 10.2.8.

Whassup wid dat?
