My 3p: :-)
If JPEGView tries to run a slide-show from a folder that no longer
exists, you get: "Hey! This wasn't supposed to happen! Unknown Error
#-1705. Proceed with caution."
Atari BASIC used to mope along ineffectually like a tortoise in porridge
and eventually (and inevitably) stop and display a small window in the
middle of the screen saying: "Something is wrong." I always used to think
of this as casting new light on the ST's main selling point, which was
its "WIMP" environment.
In my early days on the Net, I tried to register a product on Microsoft's
Web site and ran into this impasse, which I believe was actually quite
well known: "Uh-oh, Nigel. You haven't entered your fax number. Without
that, we can't honor your wish not to be sent faxes. Please scroll down
and enter your fax number before continuing."
