Thanks for the help, Mike & Matyas.
It turns out that my Folder Actions were not working because I was
using "Opening Folder" actions & I wasn't opening the folder correctly.
I was navigating to the desired folder by navigating the Finder with
the keyboard, or by clicking on the file with the mouse. Those 2
methods didn't trigger the "Opening Folder" Folder Action, but some
other methods did (like using the "Go to folder..." menu item).
Is this the way the "Opening Folder" action is supposed to work? Why
isn't opening the folder by selecting it with the mouse considered an
"Opening Folder" action?
