that's not true. If the person using Filemaker is sitting at a Mac
they can use Applescripts.
I think the point was that AppleScripts can only be run on the Macs,
which is true. I've got a database that has a number of AppleScripts
associated with it, and spinning off a runtime version for Windows
users in the department doesn't give them access to that
functionality. Nor would it if they had the application. It's a no go
for Windows users. If I knew FileMaker Pro's internal scripting
better, maybe I could get some of this to work without AppleScript,
but right now that's not the case. And for the scripts that do
inter-application things, forget it.
