I think the point was that AppleScripts can only be run on the Macs, which is true.

Sure, but my point was that FileMaker can tell the difference between a Mac and a PC, it can figure out which OS you're running, which machine you're sitting at and run the code accordingly - and the Macs can use Applescript.
