Unfortunately, none of this helps:
New user: same error
Disk Warrior: doesn't help
Opening Finder's dictionary in Script Editor: no problem. Even with the
dictionary open, no Finder script works in SE.
It would be nice to find some little thing that could "tweak" it into
working. Since I can't replicate it here, there's a limited amount I can get
the user to try, although I now have a smart master-beta-tester clued-up
user who has the problem. He'll try anything I ask him to.
