The new list software is apparently accepting HTML coded mail.
Demime is freely available and used by most lists I subscribe to. It

Depends on the mail client. The advantage is, we can finally send
scripts
through with syntax coloring intact.
This is bad. This is very, very bad. I have my syntax coloring set up
different than default. So when someone posts with their syntax
coloring in the e-mail it makes it tougher to read the script, not
easier. If I want to read the script with syntax coloring then I cut
and paste it into a script editor document.
HTML e-mail is evil, as we just saw with the way that Gnarlie's recent
syntax colored post turned out. Until Mail has a setting that allows
you to completely turn off HTML e-mail (not just images) I would ask
everyone to please just post plain text.
And yes I know I can just view the plain-text alternative but that's a
real pain to do for every single message. Like I said, if Mail would
allow it by default...
