I've realized that my applications that offer a black

Entourage as soon as I find an email/usenet client I can set as black

Eudora allows the user to define the background color of email messages.

So does Entourage. And text color too. But I don't think Gnarlie wants to _send_ black-background messages with white text to this list or to any other recipient either. She just wants to _view_ them that way - probably including messages sent by other people.

The background (and text) settings in Eudora that I am referring to are for local viewing only. They have no impact on what is sent to others.
