Dashboard - Applescripts in web pages?

  • Subject: Dashboard - Applescripts in web pages?

Pardon my lack of knowledge here. I don't write web pages very often. I
know you can have applescripts run as .ACGI files on a web server. I'm
wondering if you can have a script run directly from a web page. I ask this
in relation to Dashboard widgets. I have some things I think would work
nicely as Dashboard widgets that I'm currently doing with Apple Scripts.
I'm wondering if there is a way to write a widget with an Apple script
embedded since they are just web pages.

Thanks!
