No; it's a mess. There may be valid reasons for why it's the way it is, but
it's not a case of "soft spots" or any other euphemism -- it's a mess.

When recording worked, extremely. But I'm more interested in seeing it fixed
for the sake of getting work done, rather than demos. Shell scripting
doesn't do great demos either, but it works.

So it's a real shame that when they get up the courage to try it in an app
they all use, it's likely to end in tears, and the user is just as likely to
blame themselves for something that, unbeknown to them, is broken.

Really? People are doing extensive scripting of applications in VisualBasic?
I guess I mix in the wrong circles.
