Just to be clear, this particular bug is being investigated in the UDF filesystem component. If you see a "disappearing item" in some other context (not a DVD), please don't conclude from my post that it's a known problem.

(I also should have explained that the "URL" form of the Radar number is only useful for Apple employees, and that I included the bug number in case anyone filing a related bug wanted to mention it in their report.)
