Moving/renaming/deleteing unknown files

Folks;
I've got the following problem:
I've a PC that gets Time Stamped files from UPS that I need to Copy to a new location, renaming to a KNOWN name, and then delete the original file(s) once it has been processed [there COULD be multiple files to process at one time, through normally there would only be one]
I know the following about the file(s): that there are at a certain path [ex. HD:Folder1:Folder2:Filename]
: that they need to be at another path under a constant 'name' [ ex. the file 'Filename' above needs to be moved to HD2:Folder: and renamed 'UPSImport'.

Is there a way to do this via Applescript, in a way that I could do multiple files?

THANKS!!  for any help

Russell
