My experience with Panther is that the Apple Script Menu still returns "System Events.app" as the path to me target.

My Script Menu replacement, FastScripts, does correctly return the path to the script. It does this by intercepting all AppleScript events for that event and providing its own answer instead of letting the AppleScript default handler do it.

And now in Panther 'path to me' also returns to path to the script, not to
"SystemUIServer", if run from a script in the system's Script Menu.
Non-application scripts (i.e. script documents) run from any other script
menu (e.g. Entourage, Tex-Edit Plus, etc.) return the path to the
application running the script.
