This has been very helpful. I think there's a misunderstanding

So I take it there is a general feeling that it is not the case that
something has gone sour with soap support? Because I got the idea
(using
google) that some people thought it had. As if soap had progressed but
soap
support on Mac OS X had not and was still using some outmoded version
of the
protocol, or something...? m.
That is odd, as I did simply cut and paste.
There was a time when I was first looking at SOAP that I could get
applescript SOAP calls to work. Then an upgrade or somesuch came along
and my SOAP experiments didn't work. I didn't have enough reasons to
figure out what was happening or why so I left it alone.
