Apparently Tiger no longer supports file meta-info.
On the contrary, it's exactly the opposite! Tiger has more meta-info
than ever. In any case...
This has broken all my scripts that use:
tell app "Finder" to open "iTunes.html"
Since the file is a text file it now opens in my editor.
You just need to click the "Change All..." button in the Get Info
window. It sounds like after the upgrade to Tiger this info got changed
for some reason on your Mac. You need to set the default app again for
.html files. Just Get Info on a .html file, set the app to open with to
be Safari (or whatever you prefer) and then click "Change All...". Now
all .html files will open in Safari when double-clicked.
Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?
